Are Flooret Floors Safe?

Every Flooret collection is independently certified for indoor air quality by recognized third-party organizations.

All of our floors meet California’s CDPH Standard Method v1.2, the same testing protocol used for school classrooms and private offices, and one of the strictest indoor air quality standards in the world.

What Each Certification Tests

  • FloorScore: Verifies total VOC emissions from flooring at or below 0.5 mg/m³. Issued by SCS Global Services, the only RFCI-approved body for this certification. Covers Modin, Arista, and Provence.
  • Assure Certified: A more comprehensive standard specific to rigid core LVP. Tests VOC emissions plus ortho-phthalates and heavy metal migration. Modin's phthalate content tests as not detected. Heavy metals measure below 100 ppm.
  • GREENGUARD Gold: The most rigorous emissions certification for building materials. Silvan's limit of 0.22 mg/m³ TVOC is less than half the FloorScore threshold. Also sets specific limits on formaldehyde (≤ 9 µg/m³), total aldehydes, and individual VOCs. Evaluated by UL Solutions.

Common Questions

Is Modin phthalate-free?
Modin's Assure Certification includes ortho-phthalate testing, and Modin tests as not detected.

Is Flooret flooring safe for children and pets?
