How to Clean and Care for Flooret All-In-One Washable Rugs
Every Flooret All-In-One Rug is fully machine washable and safe to use on any floor we sell. Here is how to keep yours looking new.
Safe on Every Flooret Floor
Place an All-In-One Rug on Modin LVP, Arista, Silvan, or Provence with confidence. The backing uses silicone non-slip feet instead of the rubber or latex found on most area rugs. Rubber and latex break down over time and leave discoloration behind on vinyl, laminate, and finished hardwood. Silicone does not.
Those feet do the job of a rug pad, so you do not need one. Adding a pad voids rug warranty coverage.
Both Classic and Cloud rugs are OEKO-TEX Made in Green certified and VOC compliant.
All-In-One Rugs are breathable, which is part of how they wash so well. Dust and spills can pass through to the floor beneath. Lift the rug and clean underneath as part of your normal routine. Lift any dry any liquid spills immediately.
Washing
Vacuum the rug first. Then wash it alone, design side out, in cold water on the delicate cycle with a mild, non-bleach detergent. Tumble dry on low or hang dry, and make sure it is fully dry before it goes back down.
Your machine needs to be at least 4.5 cubic feet.

Spot Cleaning
Blot spills immediately with cold water. Never scrub, and never use hot water, which sets stains. If you need a cleaner, use a pH-neutral product made for residential rugs and test it on a hidden spot first. Run a full wash afterward when you can, since spot cleaning rarely lifts a spill completely.
Vacuuming
Use an upright, stick, or canister vacuum on low power with the high pile setting, and soft or flexible bristle beater bars only. Vacuum with the grain. To find it, run your hand across the rug. The direction that turns the color lightest is with the grain. Some shedding is normal on a new rug and stops with routine vacuuming.
What to Avoid
- Rug pads. The silicone feet already grip, and a pad traps moisture against your floor. Place the rug directly on the floor.
- Robot vacuums. They catch edges and pull at the pile. Vacuum manually instead.
- Bleach and fabric softener. Both damage the fibers and backing. Use a mild, non-bleach detergent.
- Odor powders, stain guard sprays, and other topical treatments. They build up in the pile. Just wash the rug, which is what it was built for.
- Stiff brushes and carpet rakes. They tear at the cut pile. A soft-bristle vacuum head does the same job safely.
- Stairs, uneven surfaces, and anything with wheels. These are excluded from warranty coverage. Keep rugs on flat, level floors in normal foot traffic.
- Direct sun without rotating. Some fading from light is normal. Rotate the rug 180 degrees every few months to keep it even.
Common Questions
Will an All-In-One Rug damage my hardwood or vinyl floor?
No. Silicone feet will not discolor Modin, Arista, Silvan, or Provence the way rubber and latex backings can.
Do I need a rug pad?
No, and using one voids the rug's warranty coverage. The silicone feet hold the rug in place on their own.
Will the rug slide?
It should not. If it shifts, check that the backing is clean and completely dry. Dust and moisture reduce grip, and a wash usually restores it.
How long are Flooret rugs covered?
