Do you have Stair Options for Modin?
We offer full treads for individual steps and nosings for steps, landings, and edge finishing. The right option depends on your Modin collection and staircase layout.

Full tread - one seamless piece covers the whole step. Individual steps only. Never on a top step or landing (treads are a different thickness than the planks, so that transition needs a nosing).

Stair nose - finishes the front edge of a step, planks fill the rest. Works on any step, including top steps, landings, and open edges.
If Modin continues onto the floor above, the top step needs a stair nose no matter what you use on the steps.

TrueStep™ - Our premium seamless tread, same wear layer and coordinated colors as Modin. Shims included for stairs without an existing bullnose.
Modin Full Tread - seamless tread with a return for stairs with an open edge. Pattern is more uniform than planks. For the highest degree of variation, use planks + stair nose instead.

TruePlank™ nosings (flush) - Cut from a real Modin plank, so color and wear layer match exactly. Flush finish with the planks. Made to order. Round and square are nose profiles; choose the one that matches your plank's bevel.
Overlapping Stair Nose (universal) - 72" long, PVC, low-profile lip that overlaps the plank edge. Most budget-friendly option. Works with Base, Signature, Herringbone, and Craftsman. Any step, top step, or landing.
Original nosings - Flush-mount nosings from our earlier molded and PVC lines, available while supplies last. Confirm color and collection compatibility on the product page before ordering.

Installation
- Glue down every stair piece.
- Existing rounded bullnose usually needs trimming: cut flush with a circular saw (recommended) or reshape with a router.
- No existing bullnose: TrueSteps/TruePlanks shipswith shims.

Common Questions
Will the stair pieces match my floor? Yes, same print film as the planks. TruePlank nosings and TrueStep are made from actual Modin material for the best match.
Can I use a full tread on the top step or a landing? No, you will need to use a stair nose.
Do I need a nosing if I use full treads? Only for the top step and landings, if Modin continues onto that floor.
My stairs are open on one side. You can use the Modin Full Tread (return included), or planks with a TruePlank or Overlapping nosing. Two open sides: planks + nosing.
Which TruePlank nosing for Craftsman or Herringbone? Match the bevel on your planks: Signature (enhanced bevel) or Signature Micro Bevel (micro bevel). Craftsman and Herringbone both feature micro bevel.
