What Rugs and Rug Pads Can I Use on Flooret Floors?
Our All-In-One Washable Rugs are built for the floors we sell and need no pad at all. Most other rugs and rug pads are safe on every Flooret floor. Look for rugs labeled "colorfast" or "safe for hardwood floors," and avoid rubber or latex backings that contain plasticizers or adhesives.
The Simplest Option: Flooret All-In-One Rugs
Our All-In-One Washable Rugs solve both of these question at once. The backing uses silicone non-slip feet instead of rubber or latex, so it will not discolor Modin, Arista, Silvan, or Provence. Those feet grip on their own, so no separate rug pad is needed. Every rug is fully machine washable.

What to Look For
Rugs labeled "colorfast" or "safe for hardwood floors" work across all collections. Natural fiber backings (cotton, jute, woven) are fine, as are non-staining vinyl-backed mats, foam pads, and solid natural rubber pads with no added glues or adhesives.
Look for "solid rubber" or "heat-pressed" on the label. Sprayed-on or liquid latex carries the same risk as synthetic rubber, even when it is marketed as natural.
What to Avoid
Rubber or latex with plasticizers. Plasticizers migrate into sealed surface finishes and cause discoloration. This affects vinyl, laminate, and UV-cured or lacquered hardwood alike, so the risk applies to all four collections, not just Modin. Confirm compatibility with the pad manufacturer before use.
Adhesive-backed rubber. Adhesives leave sticky residue and can pull up the surface coating when removed. Use an adhesive-free pad instead.
Old plastic mesh pads. These break down and leave residue in warm temperatures. Replace them with a foam or adhesive-free natural rubber pad.
Rug pads under a Flooret All-In-One Rug. The silicone feet already grip, and a pad traps moisture against the floor. It also voids the rug's warranty coverage. Place All-In-One Rugs directly on the floor.
